Totally excited cause I planted broccoli (which is growing gorgeously) cilantro (which is not growing very quickly) I let some pigeon peas dry out and planted them in a container so I can grow my own tree...very excited cause I have 6 little green plants poking out the dirt today.
I am totally stressed stressed out cause I planted red, green and yellow bell peppers and when I went out today they are not doing so well. My leaves have holes all in them and they are dying. When I gave a closer look you can see all kinds of bugs in the dirt, crawling on the container. I jump on google and found this Eco-friendly recipe for garden pest (not sure if they were talking about my little bugs or bigger pest but I decide to go ahead and try it.
The recipe starts out by mixing a concentrate solution combining 1 cup of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of dish washing liquid. Then you have to dilute this mixture to use in your garden which is combining 2 teaspoons of of the concentrate with 1 cup water. Pour it in a spray bottle and spray it on infested plants making sure to spray the top and undersides of leaves.
I went out into the garden to spray my leaves and freaked out cause there was a massive amount of bugs that made themselves a home on the underside of my leaves. I sprayed like a mad woman cause I was afraid for my peppers ( 1st time actually gardening anything...simply cause I killed a cactus my mom gave me. Yes I'm that bad with this stuff)
Can you tell me what you use if anything to control your little pesky bugs that go after your plants. Do you know if what I did was a good move or not? Please help cause I really don't want to feel like a failure with my poor little peppers.
Sorry post is so long but I had to vent and hopefully get some good advice from my fellow Gorgeously Green Girls
